Google is offering an even bigger discount on the larger (and more expensive) Google Home. The speaker typically costs $129, but on Black Friday you’ll be able to pick one up from Google, Target or Best Buy for $79. That’s a $50 discount.

Of course, it’s still more expensive than the Google Home Mini, but if you want a smart speaker that can fill the entire room with sound, this is the model for you.

The Google Home Mini is already a steal at $49 (that’s the same price as Amazon’s Echo Dot), but on Black Friday the price will drop by $30. To start, Google is slashing the price to $29 when you buy it at the Google Store, Target or Best Buy. Additionally, you’ll get $10 in store credit when you pick one up.

So if you plan on buying anything else from Google, Target or Best Buy this year, you’ll save $30 total on the Home Mini.

GOOGLE CHROMECAST

Chromecast's appeal lies in its pure portability, but there's also the price: just $35 to wirelessly stream Netflix, Spotify, HBO, Hulu, and more from your mobile device or PC to the TV. Not to mention apps for music, working out, and catching up on sports. When the Chromecast was released in July 2013, it quickly sold out, and is still going strong. Sales have now topped 30 million.

Finally, Google is knocking $10 off both the Chromecast and Chromecast Audio.

The regular Chromecast is an easy and cheap way to stream videos on your TV at home. It’s also great for travel if you want to watch some Netflix on your hotel room TV.

Chromecast Audio does the same thing, just for speakers. You can use the dongle to turn give your old sound system a wireless connection. If you’re picking up a Google Home Mini, it’s also worth also grabbing a Chromecast Audio, since the pint-sized smart speaker doesn’t come with a headphone jack for connecting to older speakers manually.

COZMO ($180)
Or just ROBOTS. Period.

51V73pQXYfL.jpg

He's a real-life robot like you've only seen in movies, with a personality that evolves the more you hang out. Challenge Cozmo to games, or use Explorer Mode to see things from his perspective. Kids can even write their own code for him to follow.

PHILIPS HUE STARTER KIT

Change the color of your lights on the fly. We don't see the appeal at the price point of $50 a bulb, but obviously a ton of people do, as these are selling like hot cakes. The Philips Hue system is the perfect entryway to the smart home, offering color and brightness controllable lights in an easy-to-install package. It can also be voice controlled via Siri and similar apps.

NINTENDO SUPER NES CLASSIC ($79)

image (5).jpg

Perfect for those who grew up in the 1990s and remember what a tectonically vanguard system this console was, or those who didn’t and want to understand why.You get 21 vintage Super NES games, including the never-before-released Star Fox 2, a pair of replica controllers for local two-player, HDMI support for crisp digital output on modern TVs, post-processing filters to optionally make the visuals appropriately retro, all for just $79. It’s in high demand and incredibly difficult to find, so plan accordingly, and keep an eye on stock checkers like Nowinstock or Wario64.

WD MYPASSPORT 4TB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE ($129)

image (9).jpg

For that friend in need of a portable storage tool with future-proofed space for data like photos and videos. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. It offers serious storage headroom for someone who wants to backup their family photos and videos, or for a professional who works with larger files, say in audio or video, in need of a primary or secondary portable storage or backup tool.

NINTENDO SWITCH ($299)

image.jpg

A no-brainer for anyone who loves Nintendo Games. It’s a full-fledged TV game console that’s also a fully portable device with a gorgeous 6.2-inch screen and detachable controllers that support motion controls, for a range of experiences impossible on any other system. Pick up a reasonably beefy portable USB-C battery pack, and you can turn its handful of hours of standalone battery life into a full day or more.

OMNICHARGE ($249)

51vS7peR31L._SL1000_.jpg

It's a massive battery pack that's perfect for travel and can recharge a smartphone nine times, recharge a tablet eight times or fully charge a laptop. There's even a standard three-prong power port and plenty of laptop adapters in the box. I love its small OLED display that shows how much juice is left, and that it recharges quicker than most power packs this size. It's hefty, for sure, but worth it if you're worried you might be sitting somewhere without a power outlet for a few hours (like the floor of an airport.)

ECHO TEXTING GLOVES FOR HER ($49)

UE WONDERBOOM

This speaker is cute as a button! The Wonderboom is a compact Bluetooth speaker with big sound, a lovely design, and an IPX7 rating, meaning it can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes — it's perfect for the shower.

CRAVE VESPER ($69)

vesper-length.jpg

Wear Vesper as a single dramatic focus piece or layered with your favorite accessories. While it looks like a beautiful piece of jewelry, it is actually an incredibly powerful vibrator. USB Charging allows for a quick charge from any USB port. The best part is the Vesper is whisper quiet.
